Broadchurch (2013 - )

Back in 2013 everywhere people were talking about the who-dun-it that was Broadchurch starring  and  made a very interesting drama about the murder of a young boy that causes disarray in a close-knit community, as people's dirty secrets are thrown out into the open. It's not an unfamiliar element really, but there's a sort of charm to this. The characters are all interesting and you feel for Danny Latimer's family for their loss. Usually when the murderer's caught - these stories end, but Chibnall who'd already envisioned series two had it all planned out.

spoilers past this

Here finally series two has been released causing quite the turmoil on everyone yet again.

This time, however, it seems the murderer has taken back their 'guilty' and converted it to a 'not guilty' leading to a trial. You'd think such a thing would be dull, but it isn't. It certainly helps when DI Alec Hardy's old case that got him called 'the worst detective' is also put into question again.

Basically watch the show and marvel at the drama.

Tennant and Colman are excellent and my favourite detective duo at the moment.

8/10
